SVALKEN
-- 3 MNTHS -- MALE -- QUARANTINE --
Svalken is quiet, not to be mistaken with submissive, he can be extremely bold, he just lacks the motivation most of the time. He is smart, he picks up on things fairly quickly, so its no wonder why he spends a lot of his time observing. He has an unquenchable thirst for understanding everything, while this is good, I pity the poor soul that talks to him. He is constantly asking questions, "why this, why that" type thing. He has intriguing mood swings, going from friendly to aggressive in no time at all, often lashing out verbally or physically for no reason at all. To put it simply, he lacks discipline. He knows only to survive, he has despicable manners, and doesn't understand why they are necessary. He is extremely self conscious, being overly aware that he is different and looked down upon because of it. In fact, this knowledge has left him a bit 'dry' when it comes to normal looking species. Resenting them for being normal, he doesn't think 'unique' is a good thing. Underneath the male bravado lies a scared child and complete softy. He wants to care, but past experiences have taught him that the less emotion, the better. Unfortunately, his lack of trust renders this side of him invisible to almost everyone.
Svalken is an odd mix, not only is he infected but he is a mix of belgian malinois and an african wild dog. Unlike some dog breeds, he only has four toes on his forelegs, his legs are long, suggesting that he takes after the wild dog in him size wise. Svalken is expected to be all legs at roughly 30 inches high. Comparatively shorter than a full blood wild dog, but several inches larger than a malinois. Coat wise, he takes after both parents, his legs and underbelly carry the striking mottled wild dog paint, while the rest of him resembles that of a normal malinois. Blackened muzzle and ears sharply contrast his white eyes, signaling him as one of the infected. Unseen is the fact that he cannot smell, his eye sight is sharper than usual, and his strength will be quite a challenge when he's older. Unfortunately, he is not very coordinated he spends much of his time stumbling about, tripping over his abnormally sized paws.
