Bande vom Thimblerig literally means Gang of Thimblerig. Coy like the game of thimblerig, the canines of this gang are stealthy, manipulative, and although relatively harmless; they can easily become aggressive and highly hostile. They are full of thievery, occasionally accused of being kleptomaniacs, and often times are found even stealing amongst themselves. Even some of the lighter souls can be found here, though, whether seeking protection from the outside world or something more. Any kind of canine can find home in Thimblerig.

IT'S EXPLANATORY,

THE THESPIAN
Your alpha, your leader. The Thespian calls all the shots in Bande vom Thimblerig: dishes out punishment, accepts new members, banishes unworthy members, and oversees all gang activity. He sets an example for his gang members, and sets a standard for each and every gang member to adhere to.

THE CATALYST
Not necessarily the Thespian's mate, but rather a partner in crime. The Catalyst is the Alpha female of Bande vom Thimblerig. Although she shares the responsibilities of leading the gang to their victories and over their challenges; she is yet still a step lower on the totem pole than the Thespian. She should not be respected any less than he, but his decision over rules that of she.

THE MARQUESS
This dog is the Thespian's right hand man, his confidante. Similar to the Thespian's relationship with the Catalyst, the Marquess is second in command to the the Thespian. The Marquess must be quick on his feet, physically and mentally. He must be able to make a fast, efficient, proper choice for the gang when the Thespian is unable. The Marquess must always have the well-being of the gang in mind, over himself.

THE MARCHIONESS
The Marchioness does not have to be the Marquess's mate. She is his partner, perhaps even his friend. She is there to help the Marquess made proper decisions, to spread the responsibility of second in command to allow vote for a choice that will most benefit the gang. She must be creative, sly, and confident in herself and her choices.

THE BATTALION
The Battalion is the group of dogs just above the "Omega" level. They are not quite general, but they are not quite of power either. They are a trusted, hand selected squad of Bande vom Thimblerig, and it is a privilege to be in this sector of the gang. Canines of the Battalion must be quick, sly, and stealthy, and most importantly: multi-purposeful. They are the spies, the hunt, the healers, the nannies, and everything in between.

THE UNDERNEATH
The "Underneath" is the general squadron of the gang. Although this particular group of dogs has no specific name, the "Underneath" is rather a slang term developed by the higher ups who happen to look down on the general populous that makes up Bande vom Thimblerig.

THE SLAVES
Relatively self explanatory, the slaves of Thimblerig are perhaps the most common, maybe even largest, group of the gang. They are those stolen from other gangs, other packs, kidnapped loners or pups. Should they cooperate and work within the pack, they have the opportunity to move up to the Underneath, but rarely have they become much more than that.

LAW OF THE LAND

1. what the THESPIAN says is law. no matter how unrealistic, ludicrous, or absurd you think it may be, what the THESPIAN says, goes.
2. only the THESPIAN may breed within the gang, for he is ruler, and he is superior to all. he may breed to whichever female he pleases within the gang. very few other breedings may occur within the gang, and only with the THESPIAN's permission.
3. slaves are always to be treated as such. the THESPIAN, the CATALYST, the MARQUESS, and the MARCHIONESS may be assigned specific slaves, if they do please. assigned slaves are only to report to whom they are assigned to, and no other member of the gang is to touch said slave. it may be requested by any member of the gang to be assigned a slave, but it is not absolute that you will get your wish.
4. it is up to the members of Bande vom Thimblerig to remain up to date with the rules of the gang. the law may be changed at any time under the THESPIAN's discretion and without any prior warning or discussion.
5. although Bande vom Thimblerig has its standard, Thimblerig does not discriminate against any types of canines looking to enter the gang. Bande vom Thimblerig is full of thievery and manipulation, but none the less they must work as a team and are essentially a family.
6. there is to be no violence within the gang walls. all gang members shall be civil to one another, despite disagreements between members. any issues may be brought to the THESPIAN and the CATALYST, where it will be judged and juried by the members of Bande vom Thimblerig.
7. any breaking of the law of Thimblerig will result in immediate banishment. any act of treason, rebellion, mutiny, or otherwise unruly behavior will be punished accordingly. immediate banishment of a member leaves the gang with permission to attack and brutalize the individual as they see fit.
