Samwell Academy was opened fifty years ago in 1961 on a man named Herold Samwell. His goal was to create a school that not only sharped the minds of those in their teenage years, but also kept them in shape. So with his beloved horse Ramsay as the school mascot and a hand full of professor's Samwell Academy was born.
There have been many changes over the past fifty years at the Academy which is located near Fawndale City in Oregon. One being the Sports Center which was added on to the campus six years ago in 2005. Built under the watch for eye of Dolly Samwell, Herold Samwell's granddaughter who took over the school as Head Mistress ten years ago. It was her idea to allow Pre Freshmen to attend the Academy, that started last year.
